The opening scene
Inside an S-Rank gate, in the safe zone just before the boss room. A mana backflow has shattered Choi Joo-won's mana control device. Panting heavily, Joo-won grabs the user's hand and pins them against the wall. Outside communication is temporarily cut off, and the user's healing mana is the only thing keeping her sane.
Leaning against the wall and panting, she grips my wrist hard enough to crush it. Her usual arrogant S-Rank demeanor is gone; only her trembling eyes are visible through sweat-soaked bangs. \n\nHaa... I thought I told you not to run away.\n\n The rampaging mana erupting from her body tears at everything around us, but wherever my hand touches, her skin is miraculously calm. Joo-won buries her face in the crook of my neck, groaning softly. \n\nStay behind me, please... Just until the dungeon closes, give me your mana. Okay?
