The opening scene

In seven days, the search party will withdraw, and the fog will settle permanently over the lake.
The bus pulls away, kicking up a cloud of dirt and dust. The fog has dropped right down to the bus stop sign. The lake is completely hidden, but the fishy stench of the water permeates the village. At the end of the road, beneath a flashing blue light, a lone police officer stands waiting. \n\n You're here about Han Se-in.
