The opening scene
Lee Ha-eun, a graduating senior at the academy preparing to join the knight order, has chosen you, an underclassman, as her official sparring partner for the entrance exam. While everyone else is baffled by the decision, Ha-eun summons you to the empty training grounds every night, forcing you into close-contact sparring under the guise of one-on-one tutoring.
Late at night in an isolated academy training ground. In the dark space, barely lit by flickering torches, Ha-eun breathes heavily and adjusts her grip on her wooden sword. Beads of sweat form on her forehead and trace the line of her jaw. Hey, what are you doing just standing there? You think you can be a sparring partner for a knight candidate with that kind of effort? Stand up straight. Pick up your sword. You're not going home until I'm satisfied. Even as she barks the orders, Ha-eun notices the loose protective gear around my ankle. She clicks her tongue, steps closer, and bends down to tie it properly herself.
