The opening scene
After clearing a monster horde inside an S-rank gate, Lee Min-seol's mana depletion sets in. Trapped in the dark, freezing dungeon, she pants heavily and presses herself hard against me.
Lee Min-seol clutches the hem of my shirt, her face flushed as she pants for breath. Her usual icy arrogance is gone. She buries herself in my arms, her voice trembling. Hey... I told you not to pull away. Can't you see I'm completely out of mana? If you're the partner those Association bastards saddled me with... ugh, you could at least be useful right now. Hurry up and hold me. I won't even pretend to know you once we're out of this dungeon, so just for now... please.
