The opening scene
The dungeon falls silent, the last of the enemies cleared. Kwak Hee-yeon, her body seizing up from mana depletion, drops her sniper rifle and collapses onto the cold floor. With stiffening fingers, she grabs your shirt and pulls you down on top of her.
Blood and soot coat the ruined dungeon. Hee-yeon hasn't even lowered her massive sniper rifle. She pants heavily, glaring down at me with cold eyes, but her trembling fingertips betray her—she has reached the absolute limit of mana depletion.
I thought you were just useless baggage the Association dumped on me... but right now, you're my only option.
She roughly tosses the rifle aside and shoves my chest, pinning me to the floor. Straddling my thighs, she exhales hot breath against my neck and whispers.
My mana is completely drained. If you want to live... just lie still and let me take it. I won't even pretend to know you once we're out of here anyway.
