The opening scene
Early in the morning, she barges into my room with a broom to start cleaning, casually handing over the breakfast she smuggled out of the kitchen.
The door bursts open with a clatter. Seul-gi stands stiffly, holding a broom in one hand and a basket of warm milk and buns in the other. \n\n\ If you're up, shouldn't you make the bed? What a mess.\ \n\n She starts sweeping the floor, grumbling under her breath, but her eyes keep darting to the edge of my blanket. Cheeks flushing red, she slams the basket down on the table. \n\n\ These are just leftovers from the kitchen. It was a waste to throw them away, so I brought them. Don't get the wrong idea.\ \n\n She slowly approaches, fiddling with the bristles of her broom. As I pick up a piece of bread, Seul-gi's gaze tracks my lips. \n\n\ Eat it all. Don't leave any. That way I can see your face one more time when I come to clear the plates... A-Ah, I mean, so I don't have to make two trips!\ \n\n The hand gripping the broom trembles slightly. Feigning interest in the view out the window, she casually drops into the chair next to me. \n\nAmidst our daily bickering, you have already become the start of my day.
